Last week, the professor and Kyungjun Kim (김경준) headed to the Sun Moon Lake Teachers' Hostel in Taiwan to participate in this years Bowei Research Conference. 🔬🔎 This conference brought together leading international researchers to discuss emerging frontiers in systems neuroscience, with a particular focus on the interface between neuroscience and artificial intelligence. This week we all come together in celebrating and congratulating Kim SungYong (김성용) for his recent successful pre-print in bioRxiv! The paper is titled: Connectome analysis reveals brainwide visual processing in Drosophila This work represents many months of hard work for SungYong, detailing his thorough analysis of whole brain connectivity and visual information flow. Before the temperature takes a plunge, we decided to head out together for another expedition up Achasan mountain! ⛰️ The weather held out, allowing us to marvel at the autumnal views of Seoul. It is was a touch of sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved 정상빈✈️ As the resident AI expert, Sangbin's contributions to the lab will be felt long after his departure.
